We’re halfway through our ‘Who Am I?’ Workshop pilot in schools, and the impact is already clear!

Let’s Talk Facts!

The state of young people’s mental health in the UK is concerning:

  • In 2023, 1 in 5 children and young people aged 8 to 25 had a probable mental disorder. (NHS Digital, 2023)

  • As of 2024, anxiety, long wait times for treatment, and disparities in access to care continue to challenge young people’s well-being.

With mental health concerns rising, early intervention and education are more important than ever! That’s where our ‘Who Am I?’ Workshop comes in.

What is the ‘Who Am I?’ Workshop?

Designed specifically for young people, this workshop helps students:

Understand their emotions and recognise healthy vs. unhealthy relationships

Develop confidence in managing their feelings

Improve communication skills to express emotions in a positive way

Navigate challenges like anxiety, social-emotional struggles, friendships, and hormonal changes

Throughout the course, students explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences helping them build resilience and self-awareness 🧠

Real Feedback, Real Impact!

We’re thrilled to hear such positive feedback from our pilot schools

"Welcoming, friendly – great attitude! Really gelled with students."

A huge thank you to the Magpie Learning Centre (part of the Children’s Hospital School in Leicester) for being one of the first schools to pilot this initiative!

Why Are We Doing This?

At The SEND Foundation, our mission is simple: to educate young people on the truth about mental health by working directly with schools and students.

Every young person deserves the tools and guidance to understand themselves, build confidence, and thrive. The ‘Who Am I?’ Workshop is just one way we’re making a difference!

Want to get involved? Whether you’re a School, Governor, or Teacher we’d love to hear from you! 📩 Let’s work together to create a brighter, healthier future for young minds.
